Selection

To be considered for selection and enrollment in the training program, candidates must satisfy the following standard requirements:

Applicants must be Kenyan citizens and will be required to present a valid Kenyan national ID or passport at the time of application.
Applicants must be between 25 and 35 years of age and must provide valid identification to verify age.
Applicants must have completed Form Four and obtained a mean grade of D+ or above.
Applicants must be at least 5 ft 8 in (173 cm) tall.
Applicants must possess a Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and provide their SHA, NSSF number and KRA PIN. Certified copies of all documents must be submitted; originals will be required for verification.
Applicants must submit letters of introduction from three referees. Each letter must include the referee’s full name, phone number and email address, be signed and dated, and be accompanied by a photocopy of the referee’s National Identity Card.
Applicants must submit an original letter of introduction from the local chief (signed and stamped), accompanied by a clear map of the applicant’s residential area.
Knowledge of and experience with the National Youth Service (NYS) is desirable and will be considered an added advantage during shortlisting; please provide proof of service where applicable.

Training

All applicants undergo an aptitude assessment; only those who meet the required standard progress to training. The program is a structured two-week course coordinated by the GS Training Officer and focuses on core skills, role-specific procedures, and practical strategies for day-to-day duties.

Recruits complete practical exercises and evaluations to ensure they are competent and ready to perform in line with our organisational standards.
